Introduction

Supriya Pathak also known as Supriya Kapoor born on 7 January 1961 (Age: 60 Years, as of 2021) is an Indian actress who mainly works in Hindi films and the television industry. She won Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1982 for the film Kalyug, in 1983 for the film Bazar, and in 2014 for the film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.

Her mother Dina Pathak was a Gujarati theatre artist and actor where as her father Baldev Pathak was a dressmaker to the stars Rajesh Khanna and Dilip Kumar. She has one elder sister named Ratna Pathak also a theatre artist and film actor.

Supriya Pathak married the son of her mother’s friend. However, they separated within a year. In 1986, she met her current husband, Pankaj Kapur, while filming Sagar Sarhadi’s Agla Mausam. After two years of courtship, they tied the knot in 1988, and are now parents to a daughter named Sanah Kapoor and a son named Ruhaan Kapoor.

Supriya Pathak attended J. B. Vachha High school. After that, She went to the University of Mumbai and Nalanda Dance Research Centre. She earned a bachelor degree in Fine art and specialising in Bharatanatyam.

Supriya Pathak made her Bollywood debut with the movie Kalyug (1981), and television debut with the very famous TV series-Khichdi (2002) aired on Star Plus. In 1994, her husband, Pankaj Kapur and she launched their own TV production house named Grass Company and Mohandas B.A. L.L.B was the first serial they produced.
She won Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1982 for the film Kalyug, in 1983 for the film Bazar, and in 2014 for the film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.
