Urmila Matondkar Career
Urmila Matondkar made her film debut as a child artist in Marathi film Zaakol (1980). She worked in movies Kalyug (1981) and Masoom (1983), Bhavna (1984), Sur Sangam (1985), Dacait (1987), Bade Ghar Ki Beti (1989) as a child actress. She started her career as an adult actress in 1989 with the Malayalam film Chanakyan opposite Kamal Hassan. Her Bollywood adult debut is Narsimha (1990).
Matondkar joined the Indian National Congress on 27 March 2019 and contested from Mumbai North constituency in the 2019 Lok Sabha Election, but lost. She resigned from the party on 10 September 2019.
